a little bird told me…

So what’s the first place you sign in to when you log on? Facebook? Twitter?

Are you that sound and responsible human who checks his email first?

I never thought I would say this in a gazillion years but I kinda like to TWEET.

Nice and loud.

First thing in the morning.

@Birdhelen @Birdhelen @Birdhelen

My growing audience has become a creative wasteland of wonderment and cheer, all sharing their daily thoughts and ideas.

I’ve usually doodled during my wakeful hours i.e. before 7 am and after and around about 2:30.

So I’ll post some new art.

Or photographs from the day before.

Isn’t it weird? But I feel compelled to send out something new everyday.

As though, I sorta feel like I owe the world something for giving me another chance to breathe another day.

Sounds heavy.

And it seriously is.

Or maybe I owe it to myself.

An opportunity to express myself. In the only way I can.

Funny, I’m really enjoying the journalistic book ‘Hack’ by Melissa Plaut, a beautifully sharp and witty New Yorker who pushed the conventional working envelope and jumped in to complete yellow cab fever.

She describes so well the unusually uneasy feeling of having absolutely no idea what to do in life.

And I really know what she means.

What’s crazy and different is I’m mid-life and should have had that figured out by now.

Should’ve, Would’ve, Could’ve…

Lives on…’Yes, I didn’t street.’

I have finally realised that there really is a thin line between genius and insanity and mines kinda dotted…

Plaut says succintly ‘I’d rather regret something I did do, rather than didn’t’.

And I couldn’t agree more.

I’m totally down with the program.

I’m just not sure I can adhere to it.

Melissa would understand.

And thats why I logged in to WordPress first and

Twitter later….
